“An Evening with Madame F” Presented by The Oregon Holocaust Resource Center

Written by Express Editor on October 13th, 2008 · No Comments · Tell-A-Friend

The Oregon Holocaust Resource Center is an educational institution that teaches the lessons of the Holocaust. In addition, we oversee the Oregon Holocaust Memorial in Portland’s Washington Park. One of the things that sets our Memorial apart from most others is that we recognize ALL victims of the Holocaust. This includes Jews, Roma, gays, handicapped, scholars, religious men and women, POWs, and others.

This is only one show and it is on Sunday afternoon at 2:00 p.m., November 2, 2008 at the World Trade Center in downtown PDX. It’s Sunday so street parking is free. Tickets are $25 adults and $15 students/seniors (62+).  Download the flyer HERE.

The OHRC has Holocaust survivors who go to schools, businesses and even correctional institutions to speak about their experiences during the Holocaust and try to encourage those in the audience to evaluate how they treat others in their lives who may be different from them.

The goal is to work on acceptance and tear down some of the barriers that stand between acceptance and intolerance. Other than a part-time office manager, we are a volunteer organization.
